movies, insomniac cinema at regency buenaventura, music, reading (anything that looks interesting), art, tattoos (only have one, myself, but i love the art of it and have designed several for co-workers), writing, drawing, anything by joss whedon, playing basketball, having fun outdoors, desert sunrises and sunsets, dancing, working out.

I live in a great section of Port Hueneme, a couple of blocks from the beach with my two best friends and their now-almost-two-year-old son who I babysit about once a week, performing my duties as an "uncle." I work hard during the week so I like to get out and relax/have fun when I can on the weekends and with my current limited budget, it usually means catching a flick in downtown Ventura and maybe grabbing a turkey burger at NG. I'll admit I'm a bit of a movie nut and try to keep up with a good bit of news about upcoming films. I find the growing trend of re-makes and sequels to be sad; originality in film appears to be dying outside of the low-budget independent scene as most studios seem to be more and more scared of pouring money into anything unknown/unproven, though I do think it's great that some studios have openned up off-shoot houses for such fare (like Fox Searchlight). I do enjoy most kinds of films, from mindless-action flicks to mindbending thrillers to romantic comedies, but I really love a good genre (sci-fi/fantasy) movie. I'm easy-going, intelligent, open and friendly. I tend to be a bit reserved at first, getting to know someone but can break out and have fun when the opportunity arises.
