The Expendables is a new film that is being written, directing and starring Sylvester Stallone. Set for 2010.
I have been following this film for a couple of months and I am so excited that I cant hardly stand it. If you look at the cast which includes... Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Brittany Murphy, possible Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger....yes Arnold Schwarzenegger I mean this script could be total garbage and would be worth watching for every second.
I have waited my whole life to see a Stallone and Schwarzenegger flick...now from what I have read Arnold Schwarzenegger will have a very small part but it doesnt matter at least they will share the screen one time before one of the kicks the bucket.
If your a fan of the Rambo series then you might remember Rambo telling Co in part 2 while on the boat that he is "expendable" meaning a soldier that you can send in and if he is killed then it doesnt matter and thats what this film is about. Its a group of the best mercenaries in the world sent to South America to take out a ruthless dictator....
Stallone is genius I mean he grabbed tons of great action stars and made a team of them which will just be utter awesomeness.....
What is really funny about this is that he offered a part to Jean Claude Van Damme and he turned it down saying that "there was no substance in his character" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
What a dumbass I guess he likes the "C" grade status he has slumped to.
Also Kurt Russell turned down a part as well Stallone commented this on the official site.. ""I know that many people on the site have asked for Kurt Russell. I asked for him too. Actually, I was taken aback when asked to put the request in a letter and send it to his agent. Subsequently, I was called back by the agent several days later after refusing to send a letter and he said Kurt Russellis not interested in ‘ensemble acting’ at this time." That really pisses me off....Stallone carried his ass in Tango and Cash..a film that helped jump Russell's film career.
Steven Seagal also turned down a cameo role which is another freaking joke. What is wrong with these people????
50 Cent was cast and then people told Stallone that he was stupid so Curtis Jackson got booted which was a VERY smart move on Stallone's part...
Ben Kingsley and Sandra Bullock have both been rumored to be attached to the film at one point.

Several of the stars of this movie have acted together in other movies before; Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts were in the The Pope of Greenwich Village (1984) together. Rourke and Brittany Murphy were in Sin City (2005) together. Rourke, Roberts and Murphy were in Spun (2002), where Murphy also played Rourke's girlfriend as she does in this movie. Rourke and Sylvester Stallone acted together in the remake of Get Carter (2000). Stallone and Roberts were hero and villain respectively in The Specialist (1994). Danny Trejo acted with Roberts in Runaway Train (1985), with Rourke in Point Blank (1998), Animal Factory (2000) and Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003) and with Stallone in Lock Up (1989) and Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (2003). Stallone and Dolph Lundgren were in Rocky IV (1985). Jet Li and Jason Statham starred in The One (2001) and War (2007). (Rourke and Statham will also appear together in the upcoming 13 (2010).)
