Default I'd like to buy a Vowel,,,,,

Boy, this thing's s buster! I might try to do one or two at a time...

30. Who is famous for 26.6 seconds of film?
That would be Abraham Zapruder, for filming the26.6 seconds of the most infamous event ever recorded, the Kennedy assassination in Dallas, Texas, as shown in the Movie JFK.

47. When did two people tie for an Oscar and who were they?
If you read my column, you would know it was Katharine Hepburn won for her role as Eleanor of Aquitaine in The Lion in Winter and Barbra Streisand won for her role as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl in 1968.

Red face OK. I'll Give It My Best Shot.....

06 - Orson Welles
18 - Bette Davis
22 - Alfred Hitchcock
25 - Is this a trick question? You can't. There's no link.
31 - The Bates Motel. (A perfect place for a honeymoon!)
33 - Andy Warhol
40 - Scarlett O'Hara
41 - They're all gay
43 - Gary Oldman

So, there you go! I think that's pretty good, don't you?

Hey, Tim, how about adding a few clues to some of these questions? - Or - In about a week's time, how about posting all of the answers?

Thanks.

Default 25. How might you link Shirley Temple and Truffaut’s Day for Night?

This may be a stretch, but here goes:

Shirlely Temple starred in Wee Willie Winkie, which novelist Graham Greene wrote a scandalous review and was sued by the studio. Then Greene made a cameo appearance on Truffaut’s Day for Night.

Sorry, but that was a challenge!

Unhappy Huh?

How old is this movie quiz? I think that it's really out of date. So many of the questions seem to be directed at the by-gone days, before the time of most of the members on this website. I notice that even an informed guy like Mike, who's in his 50s, can only come up with 2 answers.

I think that a more updated version of this quiz is in order, focussing in on actors, directors, etc. who most of us on this website can identify with. Not a bunch of old, dead people.
