Yeah, I am kind of steeling Xavier's idea here
in my thread. Instead of casting actors to play you in a movie, I am suggesting you find comic book characters you feel you are most like. I'll start the ball rolling with a few ideas.
Xavier = Bullseye
: This was a given because he had said himself that Collin Farrel should portray him in a movie and Collin Farrel's performance as Bullseye was spot-on. It just seems logical to me.
Drexl Spivey = Cyclops
: Now before you get offended Tim, Cyclops is a much more complex and less whiny character in the comic than in the movie. He has the responsibility of leading the team (in Professor X's absence
), but has many other things on his plate that make his life a challenge. It isn't all optic eye blasts and redheads you know?
Zombie Boy = Grifter/Ash
: I say this because, although they are from totally different genres (yes Army of Darkness was adapted to comic book format thus making Ash a comic book character
), their personalities are similar enough. Plus Ash fought the Marvel zombies in a crossover so I know ZB would love that. The real difficulty is finding a character that has ZB's high standards for quality (that is not meant to be an insult, please don't take it that way.)
Midnight Butterfly = Green Lantern (John Stewart)
: It was hard to pick a character that didn't seem like I was simply choosing him based on his color. I wanted to be sure that wasn't the case and when I thought of Stewart, it was as obvious as a slap upside the head. He is an intelligent, educated (both in the book and street sense of the word) man who uses his brains and will power to defeat his enemies. Now I don't know about enemies, but MB definitely keeps most of us thinking with his wit and words.
Awesome Zara = She-Hulk
: This isn't to score me any points either. She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters
) is a tough woman who has a sensitive side that she rarely shows. She is a hero and lawyer who sticks to her guns and fights physically and legally for what's right. Plus both She-Hulk and AZ can pick me up (what can I say, I am petite.)
James = Deadpool
: This should make him happy. It is just the humor involved. I can't imagine a comic book character cracking the same kinds of jokes as James except maybe Spiderman or saying things like "moider 'em
" with the exception of Deadpool or The Thing.
The Muthafuckin' Hottness = Starfire
: She is this powerful female character that has fought some of the toughest enemies and never lost her ability to stay positive and happy. With some of the strongest attacks upon her, she only shrugs them off with a smile and I can't imagine her being any other way.
: I know she said she wanted "teleportation and/or flying and breathing without assistance in space powers
". Well Raven has those powers (minus flying unaided in space, sorry
) plus a dry sarcasm that I see in some of Suzanne's responses (and I mean this in a good way.)
Alpha Craig = Superboy(Conner Kent)
: SB has the ability to be Superman, but is too insecure to live up his potential 100%. Being cloned from Superman and Lex Luthor he is lacking in being totally human and totally Kryptonian. He hides his fear of not living up to the legacy of either of them with jokes and humor. I know most people think I would chose Superman or Spiderman, but Superboy is a perfect mesh of the two in my opinion.
Let me know what you think. If your name is here and you have any ideas of who you think fits you or any of the other names here better, please let it be known here. If your name isn't here and you feel it should be, I don't talk to you enough so start posting more.
