From the moment that Prince Eric's ship emerged from the fog in the opening credits it was apparent that Disney had somehow, suddenly recaptured that "magic" that had been dormant for thirty years. In the tale of a headstrong young mermaid who yearns to "spend a day, warm on the sand," Ariel trades her voice to Ursula, the Sea Witch (classically voiced by Pat Carroll), for a pair of legs. If you can't tell, this animated underwater wonderland freakin' rocks my socks right off! I don't why exactly, but this film has been my all time favorite Disney flick since I was a little girl and I still watch it now...

Following the Disney trend I seem to be on, this seemed the logical choice for my next review. My mom loves to tell the story about when she took me to see this. I loved the movie, but when Ursula turns giant and makes the ocean into a huge storm, I started crying, and didn't stop the rest of the day.
