Leviathan (1989)

The expression "an ugly drunk" takes on a whole new meaning when the thirsty crew of an American deep-sea mining station investigates a mysteriously capsized, Russian wreck and brings back some experimental vodka that turns the unlucky imbiber into a plasma-craving fish creature. Surprisingly enough, LEVIATHAN actually started out as quite an interesting, little, under-water, adventure flick. The scenes that were shot below the surface of the sea (actually it was the Atlantic Ocean) were truly spectacular all on their own.
