An American soldier in World War 2 narrowly escapes death and is adopted by a foreign clan who begin to see him as a leader for their people. When British troops try to convince him to get back into the war he is reluctant, that is until the troops attack his adopted people.

WWII in Borneo. Learoyd (Nick Nolte) is an American who deserted and set himself up as King of the jungle. Capt. Fairbourne (Niogel Havers) is a British soldier that comes in to enlist the natives in fighting the Japanese.
