Earth Girls Are Easy (1989)

This late-'80s comedy-musical from video director Julien Temple (Absolute Beginners) has an infectiously buoyant if dumb charm and plays like a cross between Little Shop of Horrors and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. If you loved either of those movies, you'll have a fondness for this one, otherwise you'll be irritated beyond belief. Right in the middle of their relationship, Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum decided to star in this movie together. It failed miserably at the box office and seemed to sink their relationship at the same time.
It's really a rather strange movie. Meant to be a comedy which pokes fun at some of the popular beach blanket movies...
