The Running Man (1987)

The year is 2017 and the government now controls all forms of entertainment. The most popular game show is "The Running Man" in which convicts compete in a gauntlet style game. If you win your a free man, if you lose your dead. Arnie is a wrongfully accused convict that ends up playing the game of his life!

Are you bored with all those lame shows like Survivor and The Amazing Race? Then, we have a reality show for you. I bet this would be the number one show on TV. Nothing else would be close. People could get their hatred of criminals satisfied every night.

I really liked the concept of this movie and I like it even more since times changed since the movie's (and book's) original release. Considering how many reality TV shows we have on these days, I think this movie sends an even more powerful message. It's a fun action movie, Dweezil Zappa is in it (not many movie can say...

The Running Man is not the best Schwarzenegger film ever made but I really enjoy it and usually watch it at least once a year. When I was younger I watched it all the time but as I have gotten older it seems a little more "whack" then it use to.
Arnold is a cop wrongfully accused of killing innocent "peaceful"...

This wasn't actually half bad. I watched this in my film class tonight and I was expecting a really terrible film like Arnold's other 80s flicks.
