King Kong Lives (1986)
This sequel to 1976's King Kong finds the ape in a coma -- and in dire need of a blood transfusion -- 10 years after his fall from a New York skyscraper. Scientist Amy Franklin (Linda Hamilton) looks for a suitable blood donor and learns of a female Kong recently taken into captivity by explorer Hank Mitchell (Brian Kerwin). Once he's healthy, Kong breaks free, rescues his lady ape and heads to the jungle. But can they live happily ever after? (read more)
