Aliens (1986)
description written by member Tim:
Aliens is one of the few exceptions in which a sequel surpasses the original. Back in action is Sigourney Weaver as Ripley who is asked to go back to planet LV426 as an advisor to a military operation being carried out to extinguish any zenomorphs that might be crawling around the planet. When Ripley gets back to the planet all hell breaks lose the aliens wipe out most of the marines and everyone else gets trapped on the planet with no way to escape. Armed with state of the art weaponry the remaining few must fight to stay alive and to stay sain. Ripley finds herself once again battling for the life of marines, a little girl who's family was killed by aliens, and her own.

Burke: Maybe we could build a fire, sing...

It's hard to know how good a movie like Aliens really is. There's not really anything original, the story is rather straight forward, and there are even a few requisite horror-movie contrivances. Yet somehow, Aliens takes all these things and does them as well as is humanly possible.
Aliens is a comeback for the lone...

ONE. TWO. Cha-Cha-Cha......
Is anyone ready to Rock 'N' Roll?.......
Hey, Look! How cute! Ripley is showing the Queen of the Torpedo-Heads how to do the Monster Mash (to a machine-gun rhythm, no less) What a Blast! The Queen and her subjects are just ecstatic. They have never had so much fun before. You can bet there's...
