'Come and See' is an obscure, frequently forgotten masterpiece of Russian cinema; it ranks, in my view, as one of the most spellbinding and devastating war movies ever made. It tells the story of a boy named Florya (Aleksei Kravchenko) who leaves home to join a partisan unit during the Nazi occupation of Belarus in WWII....
