Top Secret (1984)

In between the disaster movie satire Airplane! in 1980 and the hardboiled cop show parody The Naked Gun in 1988, the comedy crew of Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and David Zucker put together a picture that's almost as funny as their better-known hits. Top Secret! sends up spy movies and cheesy teen rock & roll musicals. I absolutely love this film, from the opening title sequence to the Wizard Of Oz-ish ending, it makes me crack up every time I see it, and I've never gotten tired of watching it. Val Kilmer plays it perfecttly as the heartthrob 50s rocker infiltrating communist East Germany in the Zucker brothers' send up of Elvis films...
