Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
The Army has learned that Adolf Hitler is searching in Egypt for "the Lost Ark of the Covenant," a gold-encrusted chest purported to contain fragments of the tablets of the Ten Commandments. The Fuhrer and his cohorts believe that the possessor of this treasure will have invincible powers and a "radio to God." The U.S. Army wants Jones to find the Ark before the Nazis do.

This is the big one - four Oscars for sets, editing, sound, and effects, and four more nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Cinematography and John Williams music. They just don't make them like this anymore.
Harrison Ford was at the top of his game here as Indiana Jones. You could believe that he was the greatest...

This movie creeped me the f*ck out when I was a little kid. Released before there was a PG-13 rating, I am POSITIVE had that been out at the time, that is what this movie would have gotten. Not quite an R, so it was place in the family friendly PG rating, my mom took me to go see this because I was a big fan of Harrison...
