Ridley Scott directed a winner here. I don't need to list all the awards this film won and was considered for; let's just say it was a sh*tload.
I am not a sci-fi buff, but I was attached like glue to this film from start to finish. The horror was minimal, but the suspense was incredible.

It has taken me a while to actually sit down and watch Alien, but now Im really happy that I did. It has been considered possibly one of the best sc fi films of all time, I dont think that much of it, but I definately loved it. I am ashamed to say that after watching "Aliens" a countless number of times, and listing it in my favorite movies of all time, I only recently watched the original, "Alien". "Alien" is a vastly different movie. Where "Aliens" is more horror/thriller, "Alien" is more psychological.
