Dawn of the Dead (1979)
description written by member Tim:
Dawn of the Dead is a sequel to the cult classic Night of the Living Dead. It starts off as the dead have taken over the majority of the world and four people find an abandoned shopping mall which they decide to lock up and take residence. The four use all of the malls amenities to occupy there time such as the ice skating rink, the arcade, and of course they shop till they drop in all of the stores. Everything goes great until other people find the mall and then it is a battle against zombies and greedy looters.

Dawn of the Dead should only be remembered one way.......As the ORIGINAL 1979 version! Don't get me wrong the remake was a good horror film but it did not do the 1979 version any justice. If you are not familiar with the trilogy then know that Dawn of the Dead is a sequel to the cult classic "Night of the Living Dead." ...

George A. Romero is a master. I was 7 when I first saw this movie, and all I could think of is, OMFG!
I finally found a DVD copy a year or so ago and said exactly the same thing. This movie tells not only the tale of Zombies trying to take over a shopping mall, but it completely tears apart a genre that Romero made. It...
