Although A Shot in the Dark is often cited as the best of the Pink Panther comedies starring Peter Sellers, the fifth film in the series--The Pink Panther Strikes Back--is a close runner-up. This is apparently the "Pink panther" movie that divides the fans and its understandable why. This has a James Bond style plot, has Herbert Loms inspector Dreyfuss becoming a super vilan who pops it at the end, and has gags that are mainly rehashes of scenes from the earlier movies.
