  Sister Street Fighter (1975)

Martial arts champion Koryu Lee is surprised to learn that her brother Mansei is an undercover Hong Kong detective who had been investigating a heroin smuggling ring until his disappearance in Yokohama. She flies to Japan to investigate, hoping to find her brother and eventually rescue him from drug lord Kakuzaki and chief underling Inubashiri operating out of an Enter the Dragon-like dungeon lair. Aiding her in mission is old school chum and martial arts virtuoso Emi Hayakawa and enigmatic tough guy Hibiki, both from her old dojo. (read more)

Sister Street Fighter Movie Review by B Movie Ben (7/2/2007)

This isn't a Sonny Chiba film, although it has the same name as the series, and he does appear briefly in the film, it features the very capable Etsuko Shihomi, one of his students.

This is her first leading role and she would make many films before achieving award status, but she is still very watchable and entertaining...

Hard-Boiled Plot: When Tina's cop brother goes missing, the Hong Kong police suspect a powerful drug ring, and ask Tina (who is a civilian) to go to Tokyo and find proof for them. As soon as Tina's plane touches down, she gets into one scrap after another, and begins to climb the syndication's ladder toward the head...
