Yeah I know it is sappy, Boy meets girl, they fall in love, they make plans, Boy is a lawyer after college, he hates his rich dad, she is from the wrong side of the tracks, they get married, she is dying and she dies and you are supposed to feel sorry for the both of them when she dies, though up 'til then she had a potty...

This movie seems to have been created for no other reason that to make us all cry, no weep, at young love lost. Like a Barbara Walters interview set to a score.
Ali McGraw and Ryan O'Neal are the tragic lovers, blah, blah, blah, you needs the plot, all we really need is:
