Barbarella 1968

From Amazon: Jane Fonda's memorable, zero-gravity striptease during the opening credits of this 1968 Roger Vadim movie is the closest the film comes to a liberated marriage of wit and sex. Based on a French comic strip, the story concerns the adventures of a 41st-century woman, who pretty much gets it on with whomever asks. The sci-fi sets were pretty interesting at the time, though they look rather anachronistic now. Appreciated today mostly as a camp classic, the movie is actually more trying than anything else. --Tom Keogh (read more)

Barbarella Movie Review by Zara (1/23/2007)

When I was a kid, sitting in my room listening to Duran Duran, my dad made the comment that I should just watch the movie and lay off the cheesy pop music. My mom balked and started ranting that she wasn't sure if I should watch the movie. I ended up turning my head from parent to parent wondering: WTF movie are they...
