In Time 2011


In the not-too-distant future the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man who comes into a fortune of time, though too late to help his mother from dying. He ends up on the run from a corrupt police force known as 'time keepers'.

Personally, I think that this flick is a great case study for storytelling, specifically as it applies to great ideas that needed another set of eyes, one of those cases where another writer or a different director might have exposed some of the plot holes or missing dimensions that the characters desperately needed.

Why all the hate? I thought "In time" was very good. Although I want too hate Justin Timberlake, I can't fault him as an actor, and too tell you the truth, I've been impressed with most off the movies I've seen him in (I have too say even his music, though not my kind off thing, is good for what it is).
