Paul 2011

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America's UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever. For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. When he discovers he's been taken prisoner, the space-traveling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town-a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Gollings (Frost). Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes. Paul is directed by Superbad's Greg Mottola, from a story by Pegg & Frost.

Paul Movie Review by BillyBob (3/7/2013)

If Paul, in-between all of his incessant farting, saying "Fukk!", smoking cigarettes, hurling insults and, in general, being a rude, little alien-bastard, had even once shared one worthwhile insight with us or told us a super-fantastic tale of life on his own home-planet, then, yes, I would've surely rated this hopelessly...

Paul Movie Review by Shannon (5/4/2012)

Pegg and Frost return with a new buddy SciFi movie that was described as a love letter to Spielberg. In fact, Spielberg's voice makes a cameo when talking with the wise cracking alien, Paul, but I get ahead of myself. Tale focuses on two UK nerds who travel to Comic Con and then decide upon a road trip to see Area 51....

Paul Movie Review by Zara (4/2/2011)

The quiet film references that traditionally get laced throughout a Pegg/Frost adventure are what made this movie all the much more fun for me. It isn't the bigger gags or the predictable laughs that make the scripts these Brits write fun, it's the small comments like "Ever since I saw MAC & ME..." that delight a cinephile...

Paul Movie Review by Martin (3/14/2011)

OK, so I seen this practically the minute it came out, and it was pretty good, eventually.

It stars Simon Pegg (who everyone says I look like all the time but I just don't see it myself) and his on-screen as well as real life buddy Nick Frost.

Plot sees the two leads as a couple off English adult geeks who come to...
