You just can't add enough praise for Akira Kurosawa and for this film. It is a cinematic masterpiece that affects many movies made since. It certainly is one of the greatest of all times.

For me this is Akira Kurasawa's best work, nominated for 2 Oscars this movie helped introduce Asian film to a Western audience.
I was first told to watch this movie 6 years ago when I began training in Kendo (Japanese fencing) it was somewhat compulsory in my club to familiarize one's self with the classic samurai...
