Everybody's Fine (2009)

Frank (Robert De Niro) just lost his wife, and without their mother by his side, Frank's tenuous connection to his grown children might be severed. So he hits the road to visit them, hoping he'll learn more about them and, in turn, himself. Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale, Sam Rockwell and Melissa Leo co-star in writer-director Kirk Jones's wrenching family drama, an update of Giuseppe Tornatore's 1990 Italian film.

This movie is pretty pointless. They keep making ones like this year after year after year with a cast full of big names where a formerly sharp actor gets to play a wise-ass dad who goes looking after his grown children because after he retires and his wife dies, he has nothing better to do with his time.
