A World Without Thieves (2004)
In this award-winning film from the producers of The Banquet, Andy Lau and Rene Liu play a pair of grifters who come to a career and romance crossroads after conning a businessman out of his BMW and heading to the countryside to plan their next move. With Wang Li (Liu) deciding to call it quits on both the relationship and her criminal ways, the couple is adrift when a chance encounter with a naive carpenter changes their lives.

What attracted me to this film was, of course, Andy Lau, from Infernal Affairs, and Infernal Affairs III. He played Wang Bo, have of a team of grifters. The other half was Rene Liu as Wang Li, who wants to quit and lead a normal life. She was really good in her part.
Unfortunately, she meets a villager named Sha Gen...
