Zombieland (2009)
description written by member Zara:
In the horror comedy Zombieland focuses on two men who have found a way to survive a world overrun by zombies. Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) is a big wuss -- but when you're afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) is an AK-totin', zombie-slayin' badass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies.

But these movies were effective...

I loved everything about "Zombieland" after going to see it thinking "Do we realy need another zombie movie?" Apparently we do, as this is one approached entirely differently from anything i've seen before, mainly due to it being from the point of view of a sissy kid with no friends (Jesse Eisenberg) instead of some matcho...

Zombies no longer scare me. I am not sure they ever did. Now they are mined primarily for comic effect, even by George Romero, who made a fortune from them, and helped to make them staples of the horror genre. His original Night of the Living Dead was frightening, but then, with Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead, he...
