Julie & Julia Movie Review by Movie Addict (3/28/2010)

Meryl Streep deserved all the awards and nominations she got for her role in this film. She was absolutely superb as Julia Child.

Stanley Tucci was also very good in his role as Julia's husband. He had to have the patience of Job to live with her.

Amy Adams as Julie, trying to do over 500 recipes in 365 days while...

Julie & Julia Movie Review by Farmer Waltz (9/20/2009)

Like the most of my generation, I knew little of Julia Child save for the few things provided by her cultural icon status: she was a chef, she talked funny and she was on television. I assumed from these factual tidbits, and from my familiarity with the Food Network, that she was some sort of tired food snob and nothing...

In my family, we've always made time to go to the movies....

Julie & Julia Movie Review by Jarrod (8/7/2009)

The extraordinary life and career of famed chef Julia Child is adequate fodder for a biopic; 'Julie and Julia' is not that movie, but we nonetheless catch a glimpse of Child before she rose to prominence, when she and her husband, Paul (Stanley Tucci) move to France, in 1949.

It has been revealed only recently that...

Julie & Julia Movie Review by RONNIE (7/16/2009)

Julie&Julia, Meryl Streep plays Julia Child outstandingly well, even down to Julia's voice. A true story about Julia Child and Julie Powell played by Amy Adams. The two stories parallel each other. Julia Child's life, how she started in the cooking world that featured her on television, and Julie Powell, taking Julia's...
