You're not supposed to take this movie seriously. If you wait long enough during the credits, you'll watch as even Jason Statham laughs at himself rubbing up against a tattooed and pierced dude, complaining that it's hard to keep a straight face while doing it.

"Crank 2" is pretty much the most insain thing i've ever seen, but not in a good way. Not that i remember much about the origanal, but what i do is that it was a stupid but fun hour and a half or so. This sequal is taking what the origanal did to the extreme, and its too much.

We are not talking Academy Awards here, but we are talking non-stop entertainment. This version is hotter, and faster, and has twice the action and twice the babes, and twice the babes in action.

'Crank: High Voltage' is a wholly unnecessary sequel, an ugly exercise in gruesome violence and tasteless sexual exploitation. And I liked the original Crank, in which Jason Statham played a guy who had to keep his adrenaline levels up until he could find an antidote for the poison coursing through his body.
