The Soloist 2009

description written by member Zara:

When reporter Steve Lopez (Robert Downey Jr.) spies the musically gifted but mentally ill Nathaniel Ayers (Jamie Foxx) playing his violin inside Los Angeles's 2nd Street Tunnel, he never imagines he'll be helping him land a gig at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The Soloist Movie Review by Martin (12/13/2009)

I really wasn't feeling it with "The Soloist" a flick that pretty much bored me from beginning to end even though it has so much going for it.

The Reason I watched it is because stars Robert Downey Jnr and Jamie Foxx are two very good actors, but the plot, in Which Downey Jnr plays a reporter who befriends and trys to...

The Soloist Movie Review by Jarrod (4/28/2009)

"The Soloist' is probably being set up as Oscar bait; though it is simply not good enough to earn Best Picture. I suppose it could aim for the acting category, as it features two outstanding performances from Robert Downey Jr and Jamie Foxx; we expect good work form Downey, and Foxx, following on his turn as Ray Charles,...

The Soloist Movie Review by RONNIE (4/10/2009)

"The Soloist" in brief, this was based on a true story of a relationship between Nathaniel Ayers and a LA reporter Steve Lopez. Steve needed a story and ran across Nathaniel Ayers playing a violin in the city street curb side that only had two strings on it. Feeling that this might be a good story, he checked on...
