Coraline (2009)
description written by member Zara:
Curious young Coraline (voiced by Dakota Fanning) unlocks a mysterious door in her family's new home and is transported to an alternate universe that strangely resembles her own -- only better. But when her Other Mother (Teri Hatcher) doesn't want Coraline to return to reality, our heroine must summon all her courage and ingenuity to go home and save her family. The breathtaking stop-motion animation is based on the best-seller by Neil Gaiman.

I seen the 2D version of this so maybe i'm missing something. This movie seems to be all about the visuals, which are pretty amazing to be fair. All stop motion animation in a time where CGI rules supreme. But despite the awesome look and hardwork thats gone into making this film i cant realy say its one of the best kids...

I'll admit, about a quarter of...

Though you might not be familiar with the name Selick you will certainly know of his previous work which mainly employs the use of...

Probably this dark fairy tale is not for small kids. It is more like Harry Potter in its darkest moments (which makes it a horror movie then), and like "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" craziness in the brightest ones. As a second thought, the most scary things are not visuals but the suspense, so younger children will...

I love this movie, at times it is dark for the kids but the 3D glasses were a hoot, I don't know why suddenly Hollywood is on the 3d kick(Again!) but it is fun and done well; it was great to see the effects jump out at you from the screen. The voice over cast was great from Dakota Fanning, to Keith David, to French and...
