Slumdog Millionaire (2008)
The story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much?

We don't have to go over the awards this film has won. it was arguably THE best film of 2008.
Can you imagine someone like Charles Van Doren being hung up in a cell and given electrical jolts because he knew the answers? Just because a slumdog exceeded expectations, he must be cheating.

I recently saw this film and all I can say is that it was "ok". I don't know if all the hype ruined it for me.
