The Neighbor (2007)

News that his ex-wife (Meredith Scott Lynn) is marrying his best friend (David Youse) flips Jeff's (Matthew Modine) world upside down. Heartbroken, Jeff looks for comfort in the unwelcoming arms of Christine (Michèle Laroque), the new owner of his building who wants to evict him. Tension between Jeff and Christine eventually develops into romance, but Christine's domineering fiancé (Ed Quinn) stands in the way of their love.
