Watchmen 2009

description written by member Zara:

It all begins with the paranoid delusions of a half-insane hero called Rorschach. But is Rorschach really insane or has he in fact uncovered a plot to murder super-heroes and, even worse, millions of innocent civilians? On the run from the law, Rorschach reunites with his former teammates in a desperate attempt to save the world and their lives, but what they uncover will shock them to their very core and change the face of the planet! Following two generations of masked superheroes from the close of World War II to the icy shadow of the Cold War comes this groundbreaking comic story - the story of The Watchmen. "Watchmen" is based on the 12-part DC Comics series written by Alan Moore and featuring art by Dave Gibbons.

Watchmen Movie Review by BillyBob (2/14/2012)

When it comes to "Superhero" flicks (which I've grown quite bored of these days), WATCHMEN was about as limp, and, yes, unexciting as Dr. Manhattan's oversized, blue wiener (which, in case you hadn't noticed, was never once shown in its erect state). Yeow! (What a perpendicular "peter pointer" that would've been, eh?)

Watchmen Movie Review by Filmkiller (5/31/2010)

I'll say one thing for Director Zak Snyder, give him someone else's pre-existing crap - Dawn of the Dead (remake) and then 300 and Watchmen (comics) - and he'll bring home a decently entertaining if not slavishly loyal interpretation. The only real disappointment for Watchmen for me was that being so true to the storyline...

Watchmen Movie Review by John (5/13/2010)

Last year, "The Dark Knight" established itself as exactly what everyone either hoped or thought it would be: the most well-conceived, financially successful, and accomplished comic book movie ever. Finally there was a comic book film that was not content simply to entertain, but to ask probing questions about the human...

Watchmen Movie Review by Movie Addict (4/17/2010)

I won't begin to describe the situation, you have a synopsis for that. I want to focus on the experience itself.

First, the film has the look and feel of a graphic novel. This should please fans of the book even if the film strays, or has to condense a lot of back story in a small time, as it appeared to do in the opening...

Watchmen Movie Review by Martin (10/24/2009)

This One is realy a hard one to judge. I can understand why so many people hate it, because its not as action driven as other comic book movies like "Spiderman" or "Iron man" but i wouldn't describe it as an overall awful experience.

Here it comes "If you've read the book its alot better." I'm ashamed of myself for...
