  Watchmen (2009)

description written by member Zara:

It all begins with the paranoid delusions of a half-insane hero called Rorschach. But is Rorschach really insane or has he in fact uncovered a plot to murder super-heroes and, even worse, millions of innocent civilians? On the run from the law, Rorschach reunites with his former teammates in a desperate attempt to save the world and their lives, but what they uncover will shock them to their very core and change the face of the planet! Following two generations of masked superheroes from the close of World War II to the icy shadow of the Cold War comes this groundbreaking comic story - the story of The Watchmen. "Watchmen" is based on the 12-part DC Comics series written by Alan Moore and featuring art by Dave Gibbons.

Watchmen Movie Review by Zara (3/12/2009)

I suppose I should start with the fact that I am living with a big comic book geek, so even though I'm not a comic book fan, I try my best to understand and keep up with his hobby so that I don't feel like an idiot (or bored) when he's talking to me about them. And he talks deep, about origin stories and angles and...

Watchmen Movie Review by Martin (10/24/2009)

This One is realy a hard one to judge. I can understand why so many people hate it, because its not as action driven as other comic book movies like "Spiderman" or "Iron man" but i wouldn't describe it as an overall awful experience.

Here it comes "If you've read the book its alot better." I'm ashamed of myself for...

Watchmen Movie Review by Daniel (8/11/2009)

The only reason theres a half star more than one is for all the parts shown on the Trailer. If you havent seen the movie dont just watch trailer a couple times and let that be the end of it (unless your a watchmen fan I understand its just not my cup of tea)I hate it when what you see is what you get you watch the previews...

Watchmen Movie Review by Jessica Film Junkie (3/16/2009)

Okay so I am a comic geek, not as much of a geek as my friends and fiance, but a geek nonetheless. I liked the graphic novel a lot, but always found it hard to follow. I expected Zack Snyder to do a horrible job with the film as I have seen him as a new Michael Bay type.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the...

Watchmen Movie Review by Mike (3/12/2009)

Note to the Purists: I never read the Watchmen series, so my opinions are based solely on the movie adaptation.

"Watchmen" is based on the wildy popular graphic novel and is a cult favorite. Its characters are mostly non-superpowered individuals who dress up in tights (for some, REAL tight tights) and beat the crap out...
