When drama queen Kym (Anne Hathaway), a former model who's been in and out of rehab for 10 years, returns to her parents' home just before the wedding of her sister, Rachel (Rosemarie DeWitt), long-standing family conflicts begin to resurface. Rachel Getting Married Movie Review by Zara (3/16/2009)

Maybe it's just me... in fact, as I looked up reviews on NetFlix and other sites, it seems that there were a lot of people who really didn't like this movie. But being that I come from what I lovingly refer to as a functionally dysfunctional family (most of you out there who say you come from dysfunctional families don't...

Rachel Getting Married Movie Review by Jessica Film Junkie (5/22/2009)

As someone who is planning a wedding right now, this film really spoke to me about how genuine love can be and how a wedding can truly reflect the unique nature of a relationship.
The story follows Kim (Anne Hathaway) who is fresh out of rehab and off to her sister's nuptials at their father's home. Hathaway is...

Rachel Getting Married Movie Review by Movie Addict (4/19/2009)

Anne Hathaway, Oscar nominee, Golden Globe nominee, and winner of just about every critics award for her performance in this film, was magnificent as the junkie sister that comes home to a dysfunctional family for a wedding.

The film itself, was one of the very best of 2008. Jonathan Demme did a marvelous job with Jenny...

Rachel Getting Married Movie Review by Denise (12/24/2008)

Two words to describe this movie: Emotional pornography.
One word for Jonathan Demme: edit.

This movie felt like being at a friend's house when the family has ugly arguments and you can't easily escape. Like you're clearly hearing things that are None of Your Business. If wanting the audience to hide into their chairs...

Rachel Getting Married Movie Review by Ben (10/28/2008)

"Rachel Getting Married" is a movie about forgiveness, and the rough road people travel to get to it. It is also a movie about family and togetherness, and the joy of life. It almost moved me to tears the same way "Lars and the Real Girl" did a year ago as it deals with the saddest of things while surrounding itself in an...
