Australia (2008)
description written by member Zara:
In the days leading up to World War II, Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman) inherits a sprawling cattle ranch in northern Australia. Threatened by land barons, she reluctantly joins her farmhand (Hugh Jackman) as he drives 2,000 head of cattle across the outback. I am a fan of Baz Luhrmann I like his vision, but not really a fan of Nicole Kidman, but I like Hugh Jackman. This movie has it all that you can imagine. Unlike Moulin Rouge...

An aristocrat Lady Sarah Ashley played by Nicole Kidman inherits a ranch in Australia. Lady Sarah Ashley, fighting a plot to be taken over...

Baz Luhrmann is known as an audacious visual stylist, as evidenced especially by his glitzy, glamorous musical smash Moulin Rouge back in 2001. I admired the infectious energy of that film, and enjoyed Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, but I was not as crazy about it as others were, nor was I particularly fond of his...
