Revolutionary Road Movie Review by Rodney (12/27/2008)

Sam Mendes latest effort peels back the seal of suburban life and marriage during the 1950s. It's a painful, angry, and subversive piece of movie brilliance. Winslet and DiCaprio play the role of husband and wife in a perfect neighborhood with perfect neighbors. They have two wonderful children, a beautiful home, and...

Revolutionary Road Movie Review by Movie Addict (9/4/2009)

Three Oscar nominations and a Golden Globe for Kate Winslet, who had two superior performances in one year.

The streets are full of machines: men who wear the same white shirts and skinny ties and the same hats, marching to the same mindless jobs.

Ther are so many interesting thoughts and ideas from the past in this...

Revolutionary Road Movie Review by Lloyd (2/12/2009)

Well in a nutshell here is what I have to say about this movie, I am a kate winslet fan but thank goodness she is nominated for 'the reader' rather than this movie. I used to live in Texas for 3 1/2 years and loking at this movie reminded me of what it is like living in the 'burbs. Sorry, but there is absolutely nothing...

Revolutionary Road Movie Review by James (2/8/2009)

This movie is about searching yourself in life and choosing your destiny path. It raises questions somewhat similar to ones presented by "American Beauty" and "Fight Club".

I would say it is not as elegant as those two. Emotions here are boiling and thrown from the screen right in your face, crushing you instead of being...

Revolutionary Road Movie Review by E (2/8/2009)

With the possible exception of the film noir-charged 1940s, perhaps this current decade will go down in cinematic history as the most unilaterally anti-family, especially in terms of family in a traditional sense. No matter the genre, from docudrama to chick flick, from Western to slice-of-life film, at best one finds a...
