Yes Man 2008

description written by member Zara:

Based on the comedic memoir by Danny Wallace, this film stars Jim Carrey as Carl, a man who, as an antidote to unhappiness, resolves to say "yes" to everything that comes his way for a whole year. Initially, Carl's new practice proves successful in lifting his spirits, but soon he is confronted with unexpected and seemingly unbeatable challenges stemming from his unique self-imposed regime. Zooey Deschanel co-stars as Renee, Carl's love interest.

Yes Man Movie Review by Zara (4/11/2009)

People expect too much from Jim Carrey. People age, people get tired of the pigeon holes that they get pinned into. Sometimes a person can be really good at doing the same genre for their entire lives, but it really sucks when you're that person who bowled a 300 on your first game of bowling and then has it haunt you for...

Yes Man Movie Review by Tim (4/1/2009)

Jim Carrey just sucks at life now. This guy reinvented the comedy genre with Ace Ventura, The Mask and of course my favorite Dumb and Dumber. Then he decided like many comedic actors do that he needed to be taken more seriously and started doing utter garbage like The Majestic, The Number 23...

Yes Man Movie Review by DONNIE DO (1/12/2009)

I could'nt find out what movie I wanted to see, so i checked out the reviews and this one got some, so so review's. I thought I'd give it a chance. Because knowing Jim's work before, he has the kind of humor that make's me laugh out loud, laugh to myself or just sit there with a big grin. I needed a pick me up and this...

Yes Man Movie Review by Jarrod (12/21/2008)

'Yes Man' features Jim Carrey's meatiest comic role since Bruce Almighty, and is even a slightly better movie, with yet another high-concept premise, this one purloined in part from his 1997 hit Liar Liar, in which he played a lawyer rendered incapable of lying for 24 hours by his son's birthday wish. No magic in involved...

Yes Man Movie Review by Chris (12/21/2008)

'Yes Man' is Jim Carrey's latest exploration into comedy, actually his best comedy after the disaster that was The Number 23, where Carrey inhabited his first mainly serious role. Before working on 'Yes Man' though, Carrey provided his sweet sounds and funny voice to the character of Horton in Dr Suesse's Horton Hears a...
