Swing Vote 2008

description written by member Zara:

It's Election Day, and the eyes of the nation have fallen on one beer-swigging couch potato named Bud Johnson (Kevin Costner), who, through no fault of his own, finds himself in the position of being able to single-handedly choose the next American president. Kelsey Grammer, Nathan Lane, Stanley Tucci, George Lopez and Dennis Hopper also star in this political satire from writer-director Joshua Michael Stern.

Besides, the movie wants to move past that impossibility anyway...

Swing Vote Movie Review by Jarrod (8/4/2008)

'Swing Vote' has an absurd premise, but once you accept it, the movie actually becomes charming. Kevin Costner is Bud Johnson, an alcoholic factory worker in New Mexico. He lives with his daughter Molly (Madeline Carroll), and loves her dearly, even though she has essentially raised herself, and also looks after him,...
