Natural City (2003)
description written by member Thom:
Hailed as the "Korean Blade Runner", Natural City features a future
with cyborgs - machines indistinguishable from humans but designed with
a built-in three year shelf-life - as little more than humanity's
appliances; unfortunately R (Ji-tae Yu), a man who hunts rogue cyborgs,
has fallen in love with Ria (Rin Seo), a cyborg who's legal shelf-life
is about to expire. In an effort to save her, R becomes increasingly
unhinged, crossing a line that draws the ire of his friend and boss
Noma (Chang Yun). As if matters aren't complicated enough, a highly
dangerous rogue cyborg has goals of his own that intersect those of R,
forcing him to face an unpleasant truth and make a hard decision.
