'Deception' is a mind-numbing mess. Here is a thriller with no thrills. Every plot twist is either obvious or just dumb. The problem with a movie like Deception is that the blurb itself is misleading and the trailer gives too much away; if you hadn't seen the trailer, you might get irritated when the film swings in another direction entirely, and had you seen the trailer you already know the biggest twist that occurs at the film's midpoint....
