Evilspeak 1982

Inspired by Carrie, this has cult favorite actor Clint Howard in a starring role as the constantly picked-on orphan Stanley Coopersmith who stumbles upon a Satanic tome while cleaning out the basement of the church at the Military academy he's attending.

This is one of the infamous video nasties, banned in the UK. It remained banned for a number of years as part of the Video Recordings Act 1984, thanks to its gory climax and themes of satanism. It is still banned in Iceland.
