A summer blockbuster without Will Smith is like Alka Seltzer without the fizz. Yes, Will Smith is back playing John Hancock, no not that guy silly, a bad ass superhero with an even badder attitude to boot. He goes around saving people, fighting the bad guys, saving the whales, but without grace, manners or pleasantries....

This is a great example of how a superhero parody comic should look on the big screen. The unfortunate part is that it takes a turn in the "the local screw-up straightens up and flies right" very drastically. I understand the whole time constraint issue, especially after reading about how long it took to get this movie...

For 'Hancock', writers Vincent Ngo and Vince Gilligan, along with director Peter Berg, had to create a superhero not found in the pages of a comic book, named, ironically enough, on the 4th of July weekend, after one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, whose signature was famously enlarged so King George III...

In a world where there are a lot of comic book heroes and characters making it to the big screen, I had high hopes for HANCOCK. Their advertising campaign was viral but likable and Will Smith is a bona fide movie star in the vein of classic movie stars, something that is getting lost in today's society.

I thought this movie was very different from all the original "Hero" movies. It didn't have the same old hero vs villain theme. Will smith like always was a great actor, I think will Will Smith was a good pick to play this part. it kept me off my sit wondering what was going to happen next. Also it was great finally...
