Owner of Gumshoe Video, movie geek Neil (Cillian Murphy) leads an unexciting life, preferring to get his thrills from his favorite noir films. But when gorgeous flesh-and-blood femme fatale Violet (Lucy Liu) walks into his life, Neil finds that silver screen intrigue, adventure and danger are no match for the real thing.
