I normally love Zooey Deschanel, but she sucked so badly in this movie that it was positively ridiculous. I don't even honestly believe that it was her, the acting performance that she turned it was so off kilter with what I'm used to from her.

'The Happening' is certainly better than M Night Shyamalan's previous efforts Lady in the Water and The Village, so one can assume he simply cannot work that well with Bryce Dallas Howard. Signs is probably his best film, and The Sixth Sense his most commercially successful. Both of them were terrific; 'The Happening'...
