The lone United States marshal in Antarctica, Carrie Stetko (Kate Beckinsale) begins investigating the icy continent's first homicide. With only three days left until the sun sets for six months, Carrie races to solve the complex mystery before darkness envelops the region. Based on a comic book by Greg Rucka and Steve Lieber, this murder mystery also stars Gabriel Macht, Alex O'Loughlin and Tom Skerritt.

"Whiteout" is a film starring Kate Beckinsale and set in Antarctica, and is a very average movie.
For those who have seen the cool trailer its hard to tell what the film is even going to be about when you go to the cinema in the first place, but despite mentions of "meteorites" there is nothing "Thing" like about this...
