Sylvia is a down-and-out, aging prostitute who plies her wares on the streets of Nice, France. She has a 14-year-old daughter who escapes a foster home and hangs around despite her mom's insistence that she wants to be left alone. After a violent incident, they strike out to find the husband and son that Sylvia left eight years ago.
