10,000 B.C. (2008)
description written by member Zara:
The film centers on a 21-year-old who lives among a primitive tribe that survives by hunting a mammoth each year as the herd migrates through the tribe's homeland. It was a time when man and beast were untamed and the mighty mammoth roamed the earth. A time when ideas and beliefs were born that forever shaped mankind. "10,000 B.C." follows a young hunter (Steven Strait) on his quest to lead an army across a vast desert, battling saber tooth tigers and prehistoric predators as he unearths a lost civilization and attempts to rescue the woman he loves (Camilla Belle) from an evil warlord determined to possess her.

At first I thought this movie was going to be epic. The trailers made it look so great but the problem is the trailers literally show every great scene. Sure there were great special effects but only in like 5-6 scenes. The rest of the movie had pointless scenes. The acting was bad, the plot was bad and even most of the...

I'm not just talking...

It is always interesting for me to find a common opinion of a movie in fellow filmgoers. Upon returning home from the Multiplex, I came here and read Jarrod and Matthew's reviews and they basically cover the reasons why this movie fails. I wont waste time reiterating the same thing in my own words.
In addition I would...

A number of years ago, I read a piece of film criticism written by Roger Ebert. The Pulitzer Prize winning movie critic wrote a review of "Caveman", a film starring Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach - the filmmakers provided a press kit for the screening listing the words used within the film, the caveman's vocabulary, and the...

'BC' is a terribly outdated way to classify periods of time, it was replaced by BCE, to denote "before common era" and AD was replaced by CE (meaning "common era"), these changes were made specifically to remove religious references, and Jesus and science are simply incompatible. None of this phased Roland Emmerich, with...
