Stories like these make you really thankful for your own life. Growing up in American it is pretty easy to take things for granted - fun, food, freedom - and forget about those who have grown up not knowing those wonderful gifts but still yearning for them.

At least the Golden Globes put this film up against other great foreign films like Lust, Caution; 4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days; The Kite Runner; and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. What a treat this is. Old fashioned hand drawn animation and a unique view into Iran from the perspective of one of it's citizens.
