Iron Man (2008)

Based on the long-running Marvel comic book series, "Iron Man" tells the story of Tony Stark, the enigmatic heir to the Stark Enterprises fortune. A driven inventor and executive who seems to have it all, Tony is haunted by his dark side. Though he commands his empire by day, by night he secretly becomes "Iron Man," the living embodiment of decades of defense spending and innovation. Strapping on billions of dollars worth of state-of-the-art armor and weaponry each night to fight crime, terrorism and corporate espionage, Tony begins to crack under the strain of his fractured lifestyle and must ultimately confront the one enemy he can never beat -- himself.

Surprising critics and fans alike, IRON MAN was an excellent movie that lived up to its potential. Ooooo... I actually liked this movie. I wasn't sure how much I was going to catch onto being that I've never read the Iron Man comic books or seen any of the cartoons (if there were any) and I didn't know any of the characters or their dynamics. I'd spent the last 6 months or so discussing the nature of those character...

The action keeps up a pretty good pace in this video comic book, and it's quite a fun ride if you grew up reading Iron Man. Just don't expect any more of a plot than you'd expect from the comic book, and enjoy the outstanding visual effects.
Robert Downey, Jr. is well suited to the role of Tony Stark. Jeff Bridges...
