This is a considered, well acted, smartly written piece and the dialogue is smart and telling. Some of the performances are perfection. Kate Blanchett is brilliant but Christian Bale is wasted and Juliannne Moore is annoying as the Joan Baez stand-in. Unfortunately, the good does not overcome the failures in this...
